A deep dive into core case frameworks. Everything you need to know - nothing you don't.
July 18, 6-9PM ET
“You need to be more structured.” Generic advice that every consultant you practice with will give you. What do they really mean? You need to be more organized. And organization begins from the get-go of the case – your initial framework.
The initial framework – or structure – separates top candidates from the rest. It’s your first impression inside the case, and sets the stage for everything else you want to do to solve the problem.
No candidate succeeds without having a strong grasp on how to structure their approach to any given case problem. One of the best weapons to have in your arsenal? Frameworks. Case frameworks give you a great starting point to solve a problem in a MECE way (we’ll get to it), and give you a springboard to eventually create your own frameworks specific to the problem at hand.
In this Case Frameworks Intensive, we’ll walk you through 3 main frameworks: Profitability, Market Study, and M&A. Then, we’ll end with an overview on Advanced Structuring.
It’s about the process, not the answer
Why are frameworks so important? Interviewers are looking for clear communicators, logical thinkers, and creative problem-solvers. A strong framework showcases your ability to be all three. Over 1 power-packed day, join our expert team for a deep-dive into core consulting frameworks.
After 1 day, you’ll walk away having applied each framework to multiple case problems and the confidence to incorporate your own creativity and business acumen into each framework. A recording will be available if you can’t join us live.

The bottom line is the bottom line for every commercial organization. Even in orgs that manage to multiple bottom lines (i.e. public or nonprofit), profitability is of immense importance.
As a consultant, 100% of your projects deal with helping clients improve profitability. Profitability cases that deal with declining revenues, rising costs, or different scenarios will be some of the most common case types you'll see in strategy interviews. Learn the profit framework and how to apply it like an expert.
Now things are getting interesting! The Market Study framework is a mix of the Market Sizing and Profitability frameworks, as it examines both internal company and external market factors.
Don't ramble your way through a confusing approach - learn how to develop a crisp, clear structure that takes all factors into account, while prioritizing the ones you think are most important.
Drum roll please for our personal favorite framework - M&A! There are 2 types of buyers: financial and strategic. Understand the goals of your acquirer, and you're well on your way to making a strong recommendation - go or no go?
This framework blends elements from the other 3 to examine the pros and cons of an acquisition under consideration.
There are frameworks, and then there are creative frameworks. We wrap up the intensive by drawing a distinction between Level 1 and Level 2 frameworks - what is the expectation of top candidates in final round interviews?
Hint: it's blended, creative frameworks. Learn how to showcase your business acumen as you develop your own robust frameworks.
I got an offer from McKinsey New York today!!! Thank you so much for your help over the last few weeks, this is truly truly a dream come true!!!
