University of Missouri
The University of Missouri (Mizzou) is the flagship public research university of the state, located in Columbia, Missouri. Mizzou is ranked No. 12 among national public universities, and its scale and long institutional history — including one of the country’s oldest formal business education programs — give students access to a large, well-connected alumni base across virtually every industry.
Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business
Established in 1914 as the School of Commerce, Trulaske is the second-largest academic division at Mizzou and one of the earliest AACSB-accredited business schools in the country.
Recruiting scale
More than 1,400 companies recruit at Trulaske annually, backed by an alumni network of over 41,000 — notable names include Alan C. Greenberg (vice chairman emeritus, J.P. Morgan Chase) and Sam Walton (founder, Walmart). That scale gives students broad exposure to recruiters across consulting, finance, and general management tracks.
Learning by doing
Trulaske’s own positioning centers on experiential learning — the college emphasizes that students learn by doing, giving them a head start on applying classroom knowledge directly to employer expectations, alongside ample structured opportunities to connect with recruiters before graduation.
Career support
Career services offers individual counseling, job-search strategy workshops, an Executive Mentoring Program, business site visits, and on-campus career fairs and interviews — with a particular emphasis on developing students’ networking and soft skills alongside technical coursework.
Recognized quality
Trulaske holds Eduniversal’s 3 Palmes of Excellence distinction, and is noted for combining its AACSB legacy with newer programming in analytics, entrepreneurship, and management innovation.
Programs
Undergraduate and graduate concentrations include Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, General Management, Human Resources Management, Leadership, Marketing, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, and Supply Chain Management/Logistics — with the graduate Crosby MBA available in both full-time and flexible online (OMBA) formats.
