Raffaela Ritter, one of the youngest McKinsey Partners ever, has officially shifted from McKinsey Austria to Arthur D. Little Europe. Her new position as practice head speaks to the quality of McKinsey exit opportunities, but more importantly, gives us insight into the future of the European Financial Services practice at Arthur D. Little.
Arthur D. Little Snags McKinsey Partner to Head Financial Services Practice Area
Ritter will be Head of Financial Services DACH (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and Eastern Europe. The hire signals a continued investment into the Financial Services practice by the firm, signaling that hiring is sure to pick up soon in this vertical across the German, Austrian, and Swiss offices. It’s no surprise either, as increased competition from new fintech players, as well as tighter EU and international regulation, pose imminent threats to established Financial Services players.
Ritter brings a wealth of experience to the role, including in the private banking, wealth management, and transaction banking segments. Her new responsibilities include strategic planning, client management, project delivery, internal operations and resourcing, and thought leadership. Along with high praise from Austria Managing Partner, Bela Virag, and Global Head of Financial Services, Philippe de Backer, there are also great expectations. We’ll stay tuned to see how Arthur D. Little Europe continues to build this practice area out in the years to come.
