Europe Case Interview Prep With a Former McKinsey and BCG Consultant
Laura Ackermann worked at BCG and McKinsey, left McKinsey as a Senior Engagement Manager, and now coaches candidates from Berlin. She interviewed candidates at McKinsey herself.
In this live session, she covers what to sort out before you ever get a case, including language, right to work, and online assessments. Then she walks through the mistakes she sees most in European interviews: structures that sound memorized, written, presentation, and group cases that candidates haven’t practiced, case topics that look different from the usual profitability and market entry, and fit answers that come across as rehearsed. She also shares how one of her clients landed a McKinsey London offer, and answers questions on partner interviews and choosing the right structure.
If you’re targeting London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, or Munich, pair it with our guide to consulting recruiting in Europe. For the formats Laura mentions, see our guides to written case interviews and group case interviews.
