Getting a consulting interview is harder than getting into Harvard. Under 10% of candidates are selected. To succeed, you must pass a 10-second scan that covers 4 key areas: Education, Work Experience, Leadership, and Personal.
Because of our history of success, most clients actually opt to begin case interview prep at the same time – but you can start with just a resume or resume/cover letter and upgrade later, too.
You could go it alone. But why risk it?
We don’t make suggestions – we do the work in 2 rounds of edits to tell your story in a clear and concise way. When you get frustrated with how to explain your roles effectively, we listen and reposition your achievements in a way that resonates with reviewers.
Balanced Structure
Consulting firms aren’t interested in one-hit wonders. We emphasize your success in multiple arenas, and ensure that your professional story and personality both shine through.Clean Format
Over 80% of the resumes we review would be automatically discarded. We take you from the trash pile to “wow, looks great” without silly tricks - just good, clean format.Vivid Wording
We treat every line like it could make or break the resume, because it can. Keywords? Yup. Metrics? Absolutely. We work on every sentence and fill in the blanks with your input.Thank you for these. You have brought up some excellent points. I am exceptionally impressed with your work thus far and will continue to not hesitate to purchase from Management Consulted as I continue to prepare for my interviews.

Not the valedictorian of your Stanford graduating class? Battling with a middle-of-the-road GPA? Or succeeded in all of your academic endeavors, and not sure what to emphasize?
If you are 2 years away from graduation or 20 years out, consulting firms care about your educational experience and performance - including research, study abroad, and test scores. We emphasize the parts they need to see and the rest fades into the background.
Whether you summered at Goldman or led private camping trips on a ranch in Aspen, your experience is your experience. But with limited real estate, what do you include?
We can’t rewrite your past, but we can rewrite your story. Because consulting firms require you to jump in on diverse projects and use both analytical and interpersonal skills, everything is relevant. However, everything is not equal - and we help you navigate that very fine line.
Whether you realize it or not, you’ve led someone or something - built budgets, inspired people, directed projects.
Consulting firms consider this your “third dimension” - the special something that makes you successful in a highly relational role. We help decide if you should have a separate Leadership section or not - and help you put the right words in the right places to make you stand out.
Why do consulting firms care if you play the banjo? Speak Portuguese? Code using PHP? Although it doesn’t always tie directly into your job performance, smart people can be boring - this is how they make sure you’re the type of person they want to be with 12 hours a day.
For many clients, we add a Personal section. For the rest, we reorder, rewrite, and reshape the content so you sparkle when faced with the 1-second “I’d like to get to know you” check.
It has been a rough time for me not getting any invitation for an interview from consulting firms. But today, after submitting my edited documents, I finally received a first round interview request from L.E.K. Consulting!

Our standard total turnaround is 8-10 days (3-4 business days to complete our 1st editing round, time for you to incorporate your feedback and 3-4 business days to complete the final edit). We can accommodate a shorter turnaround if needed. Expedited 48-hour turnaround, even over the weekend, costs an extra $125 and can be added to your package at checkout. The extra fee is only charged once, even if you order both the resume and cover letter services.
Absolutely! We love to work with you for total success, and our most impressive applicants work with us on all parts of the process – from networking to editing through to interview prep. If you want a discount, select our Resume/Cover Letter Edits or Black Belt Deluxe package – the discounts get deeper the more you invest.
We’re glad you asked. A former MBB consultant manages the entire editing process, supported by the best team in the industry. They are responsible for rewriting your cover letter, perfecting your resume, and working with you over the phone if you select a package that includes phone service. Our team is the BEST in the industry – insightful, articulate and even funny. We work with you to create a highly personalized resume and cover letter.
You bet you can! You have 30 days from the day you purchase your package to upgrade. Upgrade from basic resume or cover letter editing to the Resume/Cover Letter Edits package, or from the R/CL Edits to Black Belt Deluxe.
To speak to one of our experts, select the Resume/Cover Letter Edits package ($500) – it’s the most popular because you get the best results when you’re able to enrich the process with personal narrative.
You can use the 1/2 hour of included coaching time (1, 30-minute slot to use before or during the process) to speak to any coach about your documents. We do also provide basic resume and cover letter editing, but those are email-only.
You can, but we don’t recommend it. We become masters of your story, and working with both together is optimal – why make a perfect cover letter when your resume won’t pass? Why invest in your resume when your cover letter will get you tossed? And why do them at different times, when we could draw from insights across both?
Good question! We work with ~600 editing clients each year – some on just resumes or cover letters, but most on both. This makes us the perfect size – we are experts across geographies and different industry verticals (from strategy to technology and beyond), but not a factory. Your resume gets highly personalized attention, and our clients are regularly blown away by the overhaul we provide.
We edit 1000+ documents every year and review hundreds more through our on-site bootcamps. We draw on rich insights from the insider resume review processes at the most competitive firms (like McKinsey and Bain) but do understand what Deloitte, Accenture, and 120+ boutiques are also looking for. In short, yes, we do. We’re really, really good.
Definitely. We work to build a best-practice resume you can use for every professional application you do – investment banking, corporate strategy, and even accounting. Who has time to make 20 different resume versions? The only things these won’t be perfect for are non-professional roles, like working in a restaurant or a creative industry like photography.
We can! We travel all over the world for our Consulting Bootcamps, and we meet you everywhere! We work with U.S. students who apply abroad, professionals in the U.K. that want to work in Asia, and literally every combination of “where you are” and “where you want to be.” We understand that expectations, while quite similar across firms regardless of geography, are nuanced based on your years of work experience and the region you are applying in.
First of all, it’s important to know that our work is highly respected in the industry, and firms regularly refer clients to us – they want to see your best presentation. That being said, we work really hard to make sure your resume is not the same as the next guy’s. We’re not a resume factory; we’re a premium, personalized service. We use 12 of our own templates and the ones you send us too, and every resume and cover letter is different.
First, we provide EDITS – not reviews. We do the work for you instead of telling you what you should do.
Second, we provide 2 rounds of edits – we work with you and incorporate your insights, feedback and data in between rounds.
Finally, we focus on your story – we don’t cram you into a mould, but make you stand out on your own personal merits. And if that’s not enough…read our testimonials. They are all unprompted – clients are thrilled with our services, and we grow through both organic requests and a giant mountain of referrals every year.
Editing services are non-refundable, but they also never expire. In addition, you can transfer or sell unused services to another aspiring applicant.
